Iain Stewart investigates the new but controversial energy rush for the natural gas found deep underground. Getting it out of the ground involves hydraulic fracturing - or fracking. Iain travels to America to find to find out what it is, why it is a potential game changer and what we can learn from the US experience. He meets some of the people who have become rich from fracking as well as the communities worried about the risks.
Part of this programme was filmed in The Tube, Peak Cavern and on the slopes of Mam Tor. The caving bits are shown in the programme intro and from around 10min 30secs in. The programme makers were supported by TSG Members, Martyn Grayson, Alan Brentnall, Ann Soulsby, Colum Walsh, Simon Mee and Geoff Wood from the Orpheus Caving Club.

Dan Snow visited Titan Shaft and Speedwell Mine; joining Dave (Moose) Nixon on a trip into the system, a brief history of this part of the cave was given. Dan descended Titan to the Event Horizon, this being lit up showing the shear size of it. He also ascended out of it.
ITV Clash of the Santas

Part of this programme was filmed in the Peak Cavern showcave. Robson Green and Mark Benton are to return for a new film in the Northern Lights series, called Clash of the Santas.
The ITV1 Christmas special will see Colin (Robson Green) and Howie (Mark Benton) travel to Lithuania to take part in a Santa convention. Colin's wife Jackie (Nicola Stephenson) is left at home with the children, hoping he will make it back for Christmas Day.
The franchise began as a festive special with Christmas Lights, which was developed into the series Northern Lights.

Kate Humble is joined by Steve Backshall for the ultimate British caving experience. Caving novice Kate pushes herself to the limit as she attempts four distinct and increasingly difficult caves. The final cave includes a vertical ascent on ropes of Titan Shaft which is higher than the London Eye. This is a mission that will demand new levels of courage, determination and stamina from Kate, but can she rise to the challenge?

Part of this series was filmed in Castelton. Location shots were done at the Devil's Staircase (the slide is still insitu from filming), Great Cave and in cavedale.
Eustace is sent to a horrible school, and finds a friend in Jill Pole, who's also running from the bullies and looking for a place to hide. The two of them are magically transported from the garden shed into the magical world of Narnia, where they are entrusted with a task by Aslan: to rescue the king's stolen son, Prince Rillian. Together with Puddleglum the Marshwiggle, they must travel north across the mountains, dodge dragons and giants, and journey down into the earth itself to rescue Rillian from the Green Lady.

Emily Bishop leads the trip to the Blue John Mines (this was actually Speedwell Mine) with Dennis, Sandra, Irma, David, Hilda, Stan, Charlie, Minnie, Albert, Elsie, Len, Jack and Annie in attendance. Arthur Walker looks after the pub. The residents view the mines, 850 feet below ground level. Irma grows frightened of scaring David off. Dennis escorts Sandra. Lucille sees Harry off on the train for Liverpool and the boat to Ireland. David presents Irma with an engagement ring from the cavern. She accepts it.
